Iconatomy by George Chamoun [see]

Recently George Chamoun, a 26 year from Stockholm, Sweden, created these images in which he calls "Iconatomy". From what you can see he overlaid present day silver-screen stars with famous actors from the black and white era. The Norma Jeane (aka Marilyn Monroe) and Scarlett Johansson image is spot on perfect. Check out George's other work as well as more of this "Iconatomy" collection below.

Cinemagraphs [see]

You've probably seen those small animated gif's all over the internet, but this is a whole different and sophisticated take on animated gif's. These gif's are called Cinemagraphs. (To see them in animated form click "Continue Reading...") It is pretty neat the way Jamie Beck & Kevin Burg transform photography into a moving object on your computer screen. Some of them kind of freaked me out the first time I saw them. Especially that girl in the mirror. Take a look at some below and check out there website to see everything they've done.
