New Music Releases 4-17-2012 [hear]

Today was a big day for music releases on iTunes. Jason Mraz dropped a full album titled Love Is A Four Letter Word. Chris Brown released a new single titled Sweet Love. B.o.B released a new single called So Hard To Breathe. Maroon 5 and Wiz Khalifa hit us with Payphone, which has already climbed to number 2 on the charts. Today is the day that "Take Care" drops. The highly anticipated sophomore album of Drizzy Drake. If you haven't heard by now, the album leaked some time last week. Since then it has got many plays in my iTunes. This album is definitely an emotional album with the usual Drake flows speaking of past affairs and how his OVO crew has/is taking over. Also, if you're a Juvenile fan (the rapper), Drake puts his flavor on Juvenile's "Back that ass up" on "Practice" (Which I don't care too much for, but to each their own.) Drake ft Nicki Minaj - Make Me Proud [hear]

Today Drake lets loose a new track off of his upcoming sophomore album, Take Care. This track is called "Make Me Proud" and features his female Young Money accomplice Nicki Minaj. With a catchy chopped up chorus it's sure to please the ears. Right now the only track available has Funk Master Flex's yells over it, but give it a listen until you can get the final master-quality track off of the Take Care album, now pushed to November 15th because of sample legalities. Drake - Free Spirit & Round of Applause remix [hear]

Last night, technically this morning in the east coast, Drake released two more tracks thru OVO. The first he calls "Free Spirit" in which he talks about how he's going to tat his name on his girls "so he knows it's real..." also featuring Rick Ross. Drake - Club Paradise [hear]

Tonight Drizzy Drake released a track entitled "Club Paradise" on his October's Very Own blog. This song is a mellow track that mostly about the club pictured in the album artwork, but gets to some deep lyrics typical of Drake. With it's catchy/smooth chorus there's no doubt it'll be a good listen. For a good comparison, it reminds me of "The Resistance" off of his debut "Thank Me Later" album. For those of you who like Drake's slowed down rap/singing songs probably have heard of The Weeknd. The Weeknd is composed of a talented 21 year old named Abel Tesfaye and has just released his second of three mixtapes entitled "Thursday". So if your down with the calming downtempo tones and beats definitely give this one a download. If you haven't heard of The Weeknd before definitely snatch this up as well as the previous mixtape entitled "House of Balloons" (click the right arrow on the website). Drake - Trust Issues [hear]

Drake teams up with producers Noah "40" Shebib and Adrian X for a 'fun' track titled Trust Issues. According to Drake himself, "Trust Issues is just a fun thing I did while writing I'm On One." It will not appear on his upcoming album, Take Care, which is due October 24th (Drake's birthday). The beat is similar to I'm On One and Drake uses some of the same lyrics from I'm On One. 40 slows it down and Drake sings about his trust issues with the women he hangs out with and then spits a few bars. Drake posted the song on his blog, October's Very Own, with a caption reading, "Did my own little thing using some other thing I did. You know." "Call up, I'm drinking, let's all get wasted..."
