Drake - Take Care [hear]

Today is the day that "Take Care" drops. The highly anticipated sophomore album of Drizzy Drake. If you haven't heard by now, the album leaked some time last week. Since then it has got many plays in my iTunes. This album is definitely an emotional album with the usual Drake flows speaking of past affairs and how his OVO crew has/is taking over. Also, if you're a Juvenile fan (the rapper), Drake puts his flavor on Juvenile's "Back that ass up" on "Practice" (Which I don't care too much for, but to each their own.) Today Mark, Tom, and Travis come back together as Blink 182 to release their new album entitled "Neighborhoods". Being an avid Blink 182 as a teen and being the band that got me playing guitar, it's nice to see they haven't gotten far from their roots. Bei Maejor - MaejorMaejor (mixtape) [hear]

Today Bei Maejor released a new mixtape entitled "MaejorMaejor". From what I've listened to, it's got some quality tracks. I'm a fan of Bei's singing songs, but he's got some good rap songs on here similar to a Lupe Fiasco feel-good track. One of the songs I heard there is some "the Weeknd" influence, but Bei Maejor is truly a talented individual who pretty much produces everything he does. Drake - Free Spirit & Round of Applause remix [hear]

Last night, technically this morning in the east coast, Drake released two more tracks thru OVO. The first he calls "Free Spirit" in which he talks about how he's going to tat his name on his girls "so he knows it's real..." also featuring Rick Ross. Drake - Club Paradise [hear]

Tonight Drizzy Drake released a track entitled "Club Paradise" on his October's Very Own blog. This song is a mellow track that mostly about the club pictured in the album artwork, but gets to some deep lyrics typical of Drake. With it's catchy/smooth chorus there's no doubt it'll be a good listen. For a good comparison, it reminds me of "The Resistance" off of his debut "Thank Me Later" album. DJ Khaled - We The Best Forever [hear]

DJ Khaled has released another star-studded album entitled We The Best Forever. I think someone has told him not to talk as much on the tracks because he says very little compared to his older CDs. The album features artists like Drake, Lil’ Wayne, Rick Ross, Chris Brown, Big Sean, Game, Cee-Lo, Young Jeezy, Ludacris, Ne-Yo, and many more. There were a lot of sweet beats with production from Danja, Noah ‘40’ Shebib, The Runners, Boi-1da, and more. The singles were Welcome To My Hood, I’m On One, and It Ain’t Over Til It’s Over. After thorough listens to the album, I rated it a 4/5 stars overall. My favorite songs are I’m On One, Sleep When I’m Gone, and My Life. I commented on each track below and you can view my individual ratings as well.

Drake - Trust Issues [hear]

Drake teams up with producers Noah "40" Shebib and Adrian X for a 'fun' track titled Trust Issues. According to Drake himself, "Trust Issues is just a fun thing I did while writing I'm On One." It will not appear on his upcoming album, Take Care, which is due October 24th (Drake's birthday). The beat is similar to I'm On One and Drake uses some of the same lyrics from I'm On One. 40 slows it down and Drake sings about his trust issues with the women he hangs out with and then spits a few bars. Drake posted the song on his blog, October's Very Own, with a caption reading, "Did my own little thing using some other thing I did. You know." "Call up, I'm drinking, let's all get wasted..."
