Green Gang - Pick Up Where We Left Off [hear]

Green Gang is a hip-hop/rap duo consisting of Jared Gray and Blake Rembert from Indiana. They recently released their mixtape/album/CD (or whatever you want to call it), titled Pick Up Where We Left Off on July 4th, 2012. Mike Posner - The Layover (mixtape) [hear]

Recently the "Cooler Than Me" artist, Mike Posner, released another one of his mixtapes entitled "The Layover". Again, the album art has his typical cartoon-like artwork depicting him in an airport terminal. He also performs his take on some radio hits like "Wonderwall" and "Rolling in the deep". Bei Maejor - MaejorMaejor (mixtape) [hear]

Today Bei Maejor released a new mixtape entitled "MaejorMaejor". From what I've listened to, it's got some quality tracks. I'm a fan of Bei's singing songs, but he's got some good rap songs on here similar to a Lupe Fiasco feel-good track. One of the songs I heard there is some "the Weeknd" influence, but Bei Maejor is truly a talented individual who pretty much produces everything he does. The Weeknd - Thursday (mixtape) [hear]

For those of you who like Drake's slowed down rap/singing songs probably have heard of The Weeknd. The Weeknd is composed of a talented 21 year old named Abel Tesfaye and has just released his second of three mixtapes entitled "Thursday". So if your down with the calming downtempo tones and beats definitely give this one a download. If you haven't heard of The Weeknd before definitely snatch this up as well as the previous mixtape entitled "House of Balloons" (click the right arrow on the website). Lil Wayne - Sorry 4 the Wait (mixtape) [hear]

Lil Wayne dropped his first official mixtape after his release from prison called "Sorry 4 the Wait". Of course the mixtape delivers, but I'm not a huge fan of the features like Gudda Gudda and the chap lipped Gucci. After the first listen it reminds me of an "old Lil Wayne mixtape" mixed with what we'll hear on the Carter 4 (some actual meaning to his rap).
